Top-mounted roller shutters
Top-mounted roller shutters are designed for both newly constructed buildings and those undergoing renovation, where window replacement is planned.
These roller shutters are based on a PVC shutter box mounted on the window frame and installed as a unit in the window recess. Service access to the interior of the box is provided by a movable inspection flap, always located from the inside of the room. After installation in the window recess, the front (outer) wall of the roller shutter box is usually insulated with an insulating layer and plastered in accordance with the façade finishing standard.
The inner wall of the box, visible from inside the room, is insulated with a thermal insert running across the entire width of the box. The shutter curtain is always visible from the outside with its convex side, characterized by grooves running across its width.
Adaptive roller shutters
This type of roller shutter is intended mainly for buildings where windows have already been installed or where the use of other roller shutter systems is undesirable for certain reasons. This is a perfect solution for those who want to improve the functionality and appearance of their homes without having to carry out major construction works.
These roller shutters are based on an aluminum shutter box, mounted on aluminum guides, usually attached to the wall or window frame. Access for servicing the interior of the box is provided by a movable inspection flap, always located on the outside of the room. The shutter box is not insulated with a thermal insert and is invisible from the inside of the room.
The shutter curtain is visible from the outside with its concave side, opposite to that of the top-mounted shutters (except for the
RAS variant with reverse installation in the recess). These shutters are available both without and with an integrated mosquito net (note that the mosquito net occupies a significant part of the box, reducing the effective height of the shutter curtain).
